Happy National Gratitude Month!
Always Grateful for Team KE
November is national gratitude month, which has us thinking back on a year that’s been pretty incredible. This summer, we were named a Top 25 DMC by Special Events Magazine, on November 7th, we celebrated KE’s 10-year anniversary, and just a few weeks ago, we were named the Stella Award Winner – Best DMC, Southeast. But we know that none of these things would be possible without a team who is dedicated and passionate. Of all the things to be grateful for, this month, we are most grateful for Team KE. Want to know why?
We are grateful for our Destination Gurus, Fatima, Kristen, Priya, Alejandra and Megan. Their knowledge of the best restaurants, tours, teambuilders and more goes far beyond just South Florida – really they should be called “All Destinations Gurus.” We admire their dedication to their work, meeting deadlines when it doesn’t seem possible and always keeping a smile on their faces. They are incredible at solving problems and creating experiences that will lead to lasting memories, and more importantly, take pride in it. Thank you, Gurus!
Our Event Designers, Alexa, Heather, Ashley, Brooke and Alicia, are true artists. Their love and passion for making beautiful design is absolutely one of the things that sets KE apart from other DMCs, and we are so grateful for them. They don’t just put linens and centerpieces on a table, they create a story. Their imagination is an incredible thing to watch, and when given full reign, what they can come up with is magic. Thank you, Creative Team!
We are thankful for Brian and Eunice, who are truly the ones keeping us all on track. The Finance Department is one which is constantly being asked for something, and usually last minute. But somehow, under piles of paperwork, they always say yes with a smile. We know they are a huge reason we are trusted among our vendors and partners and value their love of details, processes and numbers. Thank you, Finance Department!
We are thankful for Rachel, Adrienne and Danny, our incredible Meetings Department, and how they show such dedication to their clients. Traveling for your job seems like it would be a dream, but we know what sacrifices they make in their lives to make sure KE is only offering the absolute best. The breadth of knowledge of hotels and locations all over the world is unbelievable, and what’s better is how excited they get when they’ve found that new perfect gem. We admire how detailed they are, their passion for saying “yes” and their love of Excel spreadsheets. Thank you, Meetings Department!
The mighty Operations Team – Erika, Thomas, Alexandria, Paige, Brad, Brian, Jill, Joely, Craig and not pictured Amanda and Gina – keeps us driving forward. Whether in the warehouse, in the floral room or onsite, this team never slows down. We are thankful for their dedication and willingness to work long hours. It takes a very special brain to be successful in this position, a mix of creativity, problem solving and attention to details, and they all possess those things. They are constantly given tough scenarios and constantly rise to the occasion. Thank you, Operations Team!
There would be no KE without our sales team, Kate, Tracy, Tess, Danny, John (pictured) and Megan and Krysten (not pictured). They have to know all sides of the DMC world, which is no easy feat. Yet, we are successful because they do. They are flexible and creative, wearing a million hats because there is no one-size fits all program. We are thankful they know the value of the relationship because we don’t just want to be a vendor to our clients. Their openness and friendliness is a hallmark of a good sales person, but we are thankful that for this team, it’s genuine and felt by the entire staff. Thank you, Sales Teams!
AND DON'T FORGET...
There are a few team members not pictured, but not forgotten!
Angie and Hillary, the owners and partners of KE, who during this time, are the most thankful of all. They realize a strong team is fundamental to the success of the company.
Courtney, our Director of Culture and whose great idea this was. We are grateful that she is a person who knows the value of a team and wants to recognize the strengths of her peers.
Serena, our Director of Marketing, who is writing this post. She decided it was a little odd to state why she was grateful for herself, but is very thankful for a team who inspires her every day.
Our list is a long one, and one we wouldn’t change. Now we want to know, what are you grateful for?
